Hours of Participating Shops and Happenings

Planning your yarn crawl?  Here's the participating shop hours and a few of the events and specials planned during the crawl:

• Hand Held Knitting:  Will be open 12-4, Sunday and Monday, 10-6 Tues, Wed, Fri, 10-4 Sat. Yarn Crawlers can take 20% off yarn and 75% off sale rack! My sale rack is awesome.

• Knit 2 Together: Will be open both Saturday's extended hours 10-6 And reg hours the rest of week ( Tuesday 12-8, Wednesday 12-6, Thursday 12-6, Friday 10-6) We'll have 40% off select yarns, and a few special patterns with yarns

• Knit Unto Others: We will be open regular shop hours during the week. 10-5 MWThF, 10-7 Tu. Extended Saturday 9-5. Sunday aft--available with a phone call--5 min away. Shifting sales throughout the store, door prizes, special shop yarn available only at KUO--Colored by Kristi.

• Mockingbird Moon: Mockingbird Moon will have regular hours: Wednesday 11-7, Thursday 11-8, Friday 11-6, Saturday 10-5, Sunday 12-4. Having separate shop raffle that shoppers can enter when they spend $50 or more. We have various classes already in progress plus some that will kick off the week of the crawl. Baby Surprise Jacket Class #2 is on Saturday October 15th, Colorwork Christmas Stocking starts October 19th, Colorwork 101 starts October 22, and "Knitting the Perfect Sweater" session #3 is already scheduled for October 22.

• Sager Creek Quilts and Yarnworks: Tue.-Fri. 9:30-5:30 Sat. 9:30-4:00

• Shoppes at Fleece N Flax : Our hours are 10-4, Tuesday thru Saturday. Stacy Little of Tempted Yarns will be teaching a Beginning Fair Isle class on Saturday the 15th from 10-2.

• The Twisted Purl: We will have extended hours for the entire crawl! We'll be open from 9am-6pm every day October 15th-23rd.  There will be random sales and random giveaways throughout the week.  Our event schedule will be released soon. 

• The Yarn Mart: Regular hours: Mon - Wed 10am to 5pm, Thursday 10-7:30, Friday 10-5, and Saturday 10:00-4:00
   Door prizes. Fun random giveaways throughout the week.

• Yarn Kandy: Yarn Kandy will have regular hourrs: Mon. 10-8, Tues-Fri 10-6, and Sat. 10-6. Will have specials and drawings for prizes, etc.

What on earth is a Yarn Crawl?

A Yarn Crawl is an exciting opportunity for you to get out and visit a wide variety of yarn shops.  Our crawl will give you two weekends and the week in between to visit as many participating shops as possible...the more you get the more opportunities you have to win great prizes!

Here's how the ARKANSAS YARN CRAWL's going to work:

The first yarn shop you visit you will receive a passport (and possibly a Goody Bag if you are one of the first 50 to start your Yarn Crawl at that shop).

With this Passport, present it to each yarn shop you visit to get a stamp.

Turn in your passport at the very last shop you travel to, this is what we use for the Grand Prize Drawing and all the other prize drawings.

To be eligible for the Grand Prize, you must visit every participating shop in the state.  No worries their will be prizes for EVERYONE!


Each participating shop will have a fun pattern or two for free and the yarn for that pattern discounted.  Shops will also have fun opportunities and events.  These events can be found here as they are released.
